Fluids was a pretty hard class. There's alot of material but Widdowson's a good teacher. He works out ALOT of examples and is pretty good at explaining the material. Still though, this class can be pretty tricky so work hard on the homework.

Fluid Mechanics itself can be a difficult class to take, but Widdowson does an awesome job at teaching the material and making sure that you are prepared for the tests. The homework is long, but you typically get a week to do it. He posts his notes on blackboard/scholar and if you print them out before class it's easier to follow his lectures and to understand the homework better. Definitely recommend him!

Widdowson was an awesome professor for Fluids! I didn't know what to expect with this course and he made it go very smoothly. If you ever need help, he is incredible in office hours! I usually don't go to professors' office hours, but his are actually useful. He is really just a great professor and the tests aren't that hard. Furthermore, the homeworks are graded pretty lightly, which is great. TAKE FLUIDS WITH THIS PROFESSOR-- DON'T even consider others for this course!

Dr. Widdowson is a great professor, teacher, and mentor. He has experience in his field that allows him to explain things in terms of their application. He has a great sense of humor, is down to earth, and can identify with each student. It was a pleasure to take undergraduate and graduate courses from him. He was a great thesis advisor, as well as a graduate school /career general advisor.

Dr. Widdowson is an excellent professor. He conducted class not as teacher and students but as engineers coming together to discuss various topics. He treats his students with respect and wants them to succeed in the engineering field.
